Overview

UPP is an internationally recognized CG, VFX, and post-production studio specializing in high-end commercial advertising. Three Colonist partnered with UPP across multiple campaigns, delivering production-ready 3D assets ranging from vehicles and architecture to organic creatures and sculptural pieces, supporting broadcast-quality visuals for global brands.

The Challenge

Commercial-Grade Visual Fidelity

Every asset was built for cinematic close-ups where even the smallest imperfections become visible. Unlike game production, there was no reliance on LODs or viewing distance—every model had to withstand scrutiny under high-resolution rendering and studio lighting.

Our Solution

What We Did

Across these campaigns, our team produced a wide variety of 3D assets spanning creatures, vehicles, architecture, and hero props — each built to the level of finish required for close-up, broadcast-ready commercial work.

Hero Creature — Hummingbird

A highly detailed hummingbird asset, modeled and textured with close attention to feather layering, wing structure, and natural coloring to read convincingly against a real- world plate.

Marine Vehicles

Produced a diverse range of watercraft, from traditional wooden rowboats and dinghies to premium motorboats and modern speedboats, each modeled with accurate construction details, realistic materials, and production-ready geometry.

Motorcycle

Built a fully detailed classic motorcycle, including engine, chassis, suspension, wheels, and bodywork, engineered for high-resolution destruction and cinematic VFX sequences.

Aircraft

Modeled a detailed propeller aircraft with precise proportions and refined surface detailing, optimized for close-up commercial rendering and hero presentation.

Modular Architecture

Developed a reusable library of modular architectural assets—including arches, balustrades, cornices, columns, and decorative elements—designed to rapidly assemble high-quality period-style environments for commercial productions.
